The Dreaded Bug Collection!
In 7th grade one of 2 big projects is the bug collection. We have been collecting bugs all summer and we are finally done. It took us 2 week-ends to get all of the bugs pinned and mounted. Jenna took it to school on Monday and she also brought it home the same day. She got and A+ and I am soooooo happy that it is done!
Disneyland!
Since we were in California at Grammies house, we decided to take a detour on the way home and spend a couple of days at the "HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH". The weather was perfect and the crowds were down. We had a great time. As if you didn't already know, we are Disneyland fanatics!!

Dillon's 15th Birthday!!
Wow, I can't believe that Dillon is now 15! He is growing up way too fast. He'll be driving and dating next year!! That freaks me out a little. Anyway, we celebrated his birthday at Grammies house. It was fun to be able to celebrate his birthday with Great Grandma Oettle, Grammie, Papa, Scott, Krista, Allyson & Andrew.
Coloma
We went with Grammie to Coloma State Park. This is the site where gold was first discovered in California. We had an enjoyable but hot day there. Lots of interesting sites to see.
Papa's Pumpkins
Papa was so proud of this pumpkin that he has growing in his garden. I couldn't resist taking a picture with the kids.
Donner State Park
This year for vacation we went to grammie & Papa's. We left the Friday before Labor Day. We stopped at Donner State Park and had a picnic lunch and rested.

Franklin County Fair
The kids love to enter things in the fair. They love to make things and enter photographs that they take. It is fun to walk around and see what ribbons they got on their items.
The Great Zuchinni Contest
This year at the fair, the kids decided to enter the zuchinni contest. They had fun beaing creative and comming up with their projects. They each got a participation award. It was fun to see what they came up with! Sorry about the sideways pictures, but atleast you can see what they made.
4-H
Jenna and Brooke took 4-H sewing. They each made a skirt and a pair of pj shorts. It was alot of work, but they had a great time. They both got blue ribbons on their items at the fair.
New Carpet
Well, since the painting was much needed, so was the carpet. After 10 years of high traffic, we decided to get new carpet. It was a big job to move all the furniture, but it was well worth it. We love our new carpet!
