Brooke Needs Reading Glasses

I took the kids to their annual eye exam and guess what? Brooke needs reading glasses! She was so excited to pick out a pair of glasses. I was so excited that so far she hasn't ended up needing glasses full time like myself, Dillon & Jenna. Hopefully one of my children won't end up with bad eyes like me! Anyway, she had fun trying on all different type of glasses. Here are some of our choices. You will have to wait until we get the actual pair to see the ones that she picked out.

Legion A Baseball

The Rocky Mountain Avalanche has had a great Summer. They won their District Championship back at the end of July. Then we went to Pocatello for the State Championship. They ended up in 2nd place. Then we went to Burley last week for Regional Championships. They played teams from Montana, Oregon, Utah, Wyoming, Alaska and Idaho. They ended up in 3rd place. It seems like it has been a crazy couple of weeks, but they played great and had a great time.

New Driver

Well, I'm almost sad to say that Dillon officially finished driver's ed and has his driving permit. He loves to drive and does a good job. It just makes me sad that he is growing up so fast!!!

District Champions

The Rocky Mountain Avalanche Legion A team won the Western Division Championship on Thursday. They have had a great season with only 4 or 5 losses. Now we are headed to Pocatello for State Championships.

Girls Camp 2012

I have been so slow to get my post up--sorry about that. Back in April, I was called to be the second counselor in the Young Womans. That is what I was doing in Preston when we moved and I enjoyed it, so I was happy to get called there again. I love being in there with Jenna. We went to camp June 27-30th near Idaho City. We had a blast and it was so fun to get to know the Young Women and all of the leaders. We have a huge ward and there were about 50 of us at camp! Needless to say, things went great-very little drama and everyone had a ton of fun.

The New Disney Room/Office

I have decided that I can no longer stand the whiteness of the walls in my house!!! I decided to start with the office. We picked out a slate color and then decided to decorate it with all of our Disney stuff. It turned out well and I'm enjoying it. We still need to get a futon matress--bought the frame at a yard sale for $20.00!! I also want to get a valance for the window. Here is a before and after picture. Hopefully schedules will allow for me to move on to another room soon.

Gold and Green Ball

Our ward had a Gold and Green Ball last Saturday night. The young women all dressed up in formals. Thank goodness Jenna's friend had one that we could borrow!! We even got Jason and Dillon to go and they even danced a little--too bad that I din't get a picture of them. They all had a great time.

Gymnastics

Brooke started gymnastics this past week. It is a summer program, so we will see if she likes it and maybe continue later on. She is taking it with a friend from our ward. They had a great time and so far she loves it.

New York Yankees

For a school project, Jenna had to write a letter to some kind of organization and request something from them. She decided to write to the Yankees and ask them for something autographed for her brother Dillon...who is a yankee fanatic!!!! Anyway, we had forgotten about it until one day a package arrived in the mail. They didn't send anything autographed, but they sent a bunch a Yankee stuff!! It was fun to see what she got and she even shared some of the items with Dillon.
